Our Sunshine Solar Eclipse Viewing Party was out of this world!! Both our staff and children had so much fun viewing the Solar Eclipse with their glasses provided by our Therapeutic Activities Team!!

Sunshine celebrated Dr. Seuss throughout March! A special shout-out to those who wore hats or headbands in honor of one of our favorite books, “Cat in the Hat,” and a big THANK YOU to all our Mystery Readers for making it extra special!

The Easter Bunny visited Sunshine to meet up with Aiden, who is a very good friend of Sunshine. Aiden is a student at St. Augustine in Ossining, who helped the Easter Bunny for the second year in a row by preparing beautiful baskets filled with lots of goodies for the Sunshine children.

On Sunday, March 24, the children celebrated Purim with music, laughter, and masquerading around in their costumes.

We had SNOW much fun at the Inaugural Sunshine Snow Ball! The children had fun preparing for the event by making decorations, planning activities, and making a musical playlist. The morning of The Snow Ball the girls went to the Sunshine Sparkle and Shine Spa to get their hair, nails, and makeup done by the Sunshine staff. The afternoon consisted of much fun; dancing, creating, and celebrating all things snow! The Sunshine staff really enjoyed how beautiful and handsome all the children looked, and the best part was seeing all the happy smiles on our children’s faces. Our remarkable partnership…

We’ve had such a fun month celebrating the holidays here at Sunshine! We started this month with our Chanukah celebrations, then our Snow Globe classroom event, we also had a visit from Santa and Frosty and a Book Delivery from #elieenangels! We can’t wait to welcome 2024 with our Sunshine’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve!

Sunshine got a special Holiday visit from our friends from Ossining Girl Scout Troop 2238. The OHS Seniors returned to Sunshine to sing carols for the children. Everyone loved it so much! Thank you OHS Seniors for bringing the holiday cheer to Sunshine!

The Therapeutic Activities Department, in partnership with our educational providers PinesBridge at Sunshine and Kids Clubhouse PreSchool, hosted their first-ever Sunshine Thanksgiving Parade. Each of the classrooms sponsored wheelchair floats while our awesome Sunshine staff cheered the children on the parade route as they rolled by!
