Nothing beats Spa Day at Sunshine! From massages to mani-pedis, our girls get all the pampering they deserve!

Honoring our heroes! On Veterans Day, our Sunshine kids learned about the importance of service and gratitude. They made beautiful crafts to celebrate local veterans and show our appreciation for their dedication.

Sunshine was spook-tacularly fun this Halloween! From playful costumes to monster-ous laughs, everyone got into the spirit. We also had incredibly creative staff at our Halloween celebration and an unbelievable pumpkin carving contest! 

Our children have been busy organizing our new Sunshine Swag Store, open weekly during all shifts to shop! This kid-adapted venture, under the direction of our Therapeutic Recreation Team, allows Sunshine staff to purchase lots of Sunshine swag. Some of our “crafty” staff have also participated in selling custom-made department-specific swag items as well –promoting

The Therapeutic Activities Department held its first Girls Group! Led by Therapeutic Activities Specialist, Brittney, the group dives into all things girly. Meeting every Wednesday, September’s theme was Tea Party — expect plenty of fun and “tea” from this adorable crew!

Our Sunshine Annual Art Show transformed the Kid’s Clubhouse into a canvas of creativity. From pasta butterflies to coffee filter masterpieces, each design was truly a work of art. Bravo to all of our kids who participated in this sensory activity! We are so proud of each of you!

The Therapeutic Activities Team made this the best 4th of July! We played minute-to-win games, including cookie face! Everyone wore Red, White, and Blue Spirits!

Our Sunshine Day of Play event, an awesome idea sparked by our special education teacher Megan O’Sullivan and her 15-year-old daughter while they were visiting a bunch of garage sales one weekend day, was held on June 7. The children were so excited about this wonderful Day of Play, which featured more than 130 toys

Going For the Gold! Our Sunshine Olympics was a fun-filled day of spirited contests between Team Purple and Team Yellow. Our little Olympians crafted Olympic ring paintings, flame sensory bottles, and shiny medals!

The Sunshine Carnival was a day of magical fun and excitement with big top thrills and joy at every booth. From clown toss to mini golf and fishing frenzy – there were many favorites. And, many prizes too! A huge thanks to the Therapeutic Activities Department, for making the day a spectacular experience for everyone
